Jessica Gibson and Ashley Colombo had a vision of developing a dance studio since they were young girls, and their dream became a reality in 2018 when Elite Performing Arts Center was born. It is our mission to provide a safe and loving environment for children to grow as individuals while educating them in the art of dance. We want our students to let their passion for dance shine while they learn about hard work, discipline, and team bonding throughout their dance journey. At EPAC, we provide a variety of dance styles for our students to enjoy with teachers who are trained and well versed in the arts. Our teachers take pride in their commitment to the dancers and their ability to create dance routines that come to life through elaborate costumes and expressive choreography. We also have a dedicated competitive dance team that takes part in competitions throughout the season while gaining a true understanding of being a member of a team. The students at Elite Performing Arts Center will surely go through life with the confidence and motivation to excel in whatever they set their minds to.
Ashley and Jessica met at the young age of five-years-old in their hometown, Pequannock, New Jersey. They both began their dance journey at a local studio, dancing aside one another from ages five to eighteen. As they went through school and dance together, they formed an inseparable bond that followed them through many life experiences. The two dancers competed together, sharing their passion for the art on various stages with one another. After high school, both dancers continued their education in Pennsylvania. Ashley attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh, earning a BA in dance and a minor in business, and Jessica attended University of the Arts in Philadelphia, earning a BFA in dance. Following college, Ashley explored the world, performing on Princess Cruise ships. After that, she earned a spot as a member of the Jets Flight Crew for four consecutive seasons, continuing her love of performing while also teaching dance. Jessica always knew she wanted to share her love of dance with children, while making an impact on their lives the way her dance teachers did for her. Following college, she began teaching immediately, making connections with hundreds of students who shared the same passion. All of these experiences brought the two best friends back together to embark on a new venture as directors of Elite Performing Arts Center, and they couldn’t be more elated to share their new journey with all of you! |
